Paralenz is growing rapidly and we are looking for a new kick-ass developer with a getting-things-done attitude. This position is open for both fully remote or a local (Copenhagen-based) employees.

The role

As a senior front-end developer at Paralenz, you will mainly be working with our React code base. A large part of the job is making sure we deliver a high quality and intuitive user experience that works in a wide range of browsers and devices. You’ll also be responsible for moving your own code into production.

We are strong believers in "tracer bullet development" and believe in release early, release often, which is why we run daily releases using our continuous integration and deployment setup.

Our developers work in small teams with minimal overhead and bureaucracy as we want to ensure independence and that decision power stays within teams. Developers have a lot of influence on how they work, and deliver new features and functionality.

Our stack

We have several front-ends both for internal and external use .... all built with the latest version of React.

For our mobile apps (iOS and Android), we use React Native and are fetching data through a GraphQL API using Relay.

On the backend we're using Node.js (NestJS framework), Typescript, PostgreSQL and GraphQL.

Amazon AWS is our primary provider spiced with various online services for handling specialized image- and video processing. 

What we are looking for

We don’t expect you to know all the technologies in our current stack. What matters is that you have lots of experience as a React developer, you are curious and know how to leverage your experience across technology stacks and languages.

What we would expect

• An expert in React

• 2+ years of experience building user-friendly interfaces

• A flair for design and interfaces which looks good

• HTML & CSS is second-nature for you and you enjoy it a lot

• JavaScript with ES6 and TypeScript syntax

• Knowledge about Node.js

• Focus on quality and doing things right

• Integrity matters to you, and you can relate to our company values

Would be great if you are

• Consuming GraphQL or REST APIs for breakfast

• Experienced with Relay

Bonus bubbles if you do or know

• Code in your spare time

• Have a GitHub, Bitbucket or similar account with cool projects

• Have Open Source development experience

• Have a passion for the Ocean, and everything in it
