Are you keen on working in a crypto startup, and do you get a kick out of ensuring that company administrations run smoothly?
Januar ApS is looking for an Administration Manager to take ownership of activities across functions such as office management, internal operations, and human resources.
As our Administration Manager, you will have a very central role in Januar, taking ownership for ensuring that the recurring administration and internal operations run smoothly, aiding the team to perform their very best.
Overall, you will be ensuring that Januar’s internal affairs are kept in order whilst helping to create a great work environment for our early-stage, fast-growing startup.
To do this, your responsibilities will span three areas: internal operations, office administration, and HR.
Within administration, you’ll be expected to own several processes and IT systems, such as ensuring that invoices are received, checked and paid, updating budgets, sending out contracts etc. For some of these tasks, you will be coordinating and collaborating with our external bookkeeper.
Within internal operations, you’ll be responsible for the technical as well as the physical work environment. That means administering our IT systems (such as ClickUp, G-suite and other easy-to-use platforms) as well as creating a great work environment in the office - from ordering supplies to arranging the daily lunch and planning social events.
Within human resources, you’ll lead the administrative part of hiring and onboarding. This includes scheduling interviews, doing background checks, sending contracts, ordering gifts, granting access to IT systems, updating our employee handbook, etc. You will be reporting to and collaborating with our Head of People & Culture.
You will need to quickly get a broad understanding of our business and then use your administrative, operational, and relational skills to take responsibility for ensuring that the internal operations in Januar run smoothly.
Spanning this broad set of tasks, you need to thrive in both a leading and a supporting role, meaning that you happily take responsibility for driving the execution of tasks and minor projects, while also assisting colleagues across the team with day-to-day manual tasks.
Fluency in English (Danish is a plus)
Experience from a similar role
Flair for learning to use new IT systems
Experience with financial data, budgeting and reporting
Basic knowledge of legal HR (e.g. Danish employment law) is a plus
A good understanding of legal contracts (ability to draft contracts is a plus)
Ability to structure and prioritise your tasks, coping with a multitude of both one-off and recurring tasks
Ability to keep an overview, solve problems independently, and know when to coordinate with the team.
It’s a requirement that you have a valid Danish work permit and live in Denmark (or are willing to move).
We expect you to have an interest in fintech and cryptocurrency, but a deep knowledge of the field is not required.
Initially, you’ll be a one-person-band, managing the administrative domain on your own - with support from colleagues and senior leaders as needed. The role will be hands-on with day-to-day administrative tasks, but with room to take on greater responsibility and in time grow into a leadership or more senior specialist role as Januar evolves.
We evaluate incoming applications and hold interviews on a regular basis, so don’t hesitate to apply. The earliest starting date will be August 9, 2021.
