SubReader is an Assistive Technology start-up company, whose mission is to include people with dyslexia and others with reading difficulties, to enjoy foreign-language movies. Through our app, we enable dyslexics to get subtitles read aloud on their favorite movies and TV shows. The app turns text into speech using the newest text-to-speech technology.

We are growing fast thanks to our integrations to Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO and Viaplay as well as our presence in more than 100 cinemas in Denmark and Sweden. We also offer our solution for educational purposes. Our aim is to become the de-facto standard for individual accessibility.

The Job

As we each month get many new users on the platform, it is detrimental for our continued growth that they have a good experience. Therefore, we are looking for a Danish-speaking person, who will help us gather feedback from new users, and ensure that they are off to a good start. The job will entail calling, texting and e-mailing new users, to ask for their experience, and cover any potential questions they must have.

Furthermore, the person will biweekly present key findings to our product manager and management, to ensure that they can make the right decisions for future product roadmaps, to benefit the user. You will be working closely across our marketing and development team.

The position is estimated to be between 10-15 hours per week, with primary working hours in the afternoon/evening.

What are we looking for?

  • An extrovert person, who loves to talk to people and am comfortable with cold-calling

  • Strong analytical mindset

  • A self-starter who can work independently

  • An excellent communicator who possesses good writing skills and who can get our message through to the recipient

  • Must-have: Fluency or close to, in Danish

  • Student at high-school or university level

SubReader has built an app that reads subtitles aloud for dyslexics, across platforms: In the cinema, on streaming services as Netflix, HBO and Viaplay and in the school.
