At LifeX we are building the very first Living Platform to make anyone feel at home anywhere in the world.

We're growing fast, and are looking for an Apartment Setup Manager to help design and set up the new apartments we are opening all over Copenhagen. This is an unusual role that requires you both to select the right furniture and manage the setting up of apartments yourself. In other words, it combines interior design, procurement, and on-ground operational setup. You will need an eye for detail, a love for furniture, and the ability to adapt quickly and handle high-pressure fast-moving complex situations.

There is an enormous room to grow in this role. You will be able to take it in multiple directions as we continue to grow.

We self-manage at LifeX. You will work closely with the Denmark and global operational teams, but we believe strongly in trust and freeing people to the best work they can.


You will:

  • Autonomously manage the whole process of setting up new LifeX apartments in Copenhagen—up to 6 at any one time

  • Choose replacement furniture and be the voice of interior design at LifeX

  • Manage and build relationships with multiple external contractors to deliver the apartments on time, on budget, and to the highest possible standards

  • Manage ordering and logistics of local supplier

  • Get stuck into the setting up of furniture, unpacking of boxes and drilling of shelves yourself when necessary

  • Work with the rest of the Copenhagen issue-solving team (maintenance, cleaning management, apartment reviews) when setup work is low

     

You are:

  • Detail-orientated and strict about following the plan to the highest possible degree, but with the flexibility to adapt to unforeseen challenges and issues

  • Someone who relishes and thrives a fast-paced challenge; who can take the stress out of a high-pressure situation by building a project plan

  • Comfortable with conflict and managing external handymen and contractors

  • Knowledgeable and opinionated about furniture and interior design

  • Fluent in both English and Danish; both written and verbal
