We're looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead global consolidation, compliance, and tax for Podimo. The right candidate will be a proactive communicator, think analytically, and be comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You'll join a small but effective finance team located across our Copenhagen and Amsterdam offices.

Podimo is a Danish startup founded in 2019, right here in Copenhagen. We have set out on a mission to create a home for great audio entertainment for our users and an ecosystem for creators of short form content. Podcasting and short form audio content has seen tremendous growth these past few years, yet the format is still in its early days, and has not yet reached its true potential.  We offer a free podcast app with personal recommendations, and a premium subscription which gives you access to exclusive audio content only available on the Podium app. Since our launch in September 2019, we have expanded to 3 more markets, have grown the team to +75 and have surpassed 1 million users.

And we’re just getting started.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage all accounting, reporting and tax on a global level

• Prepare consolidated monthly financials and management reporting packages

• Manage the preparation / review of month-end journal entries and account reconciliations

• Maintain general ledger structure, continuously optimizing accounting processes

• Supervise and lead statutory audits and compliance

• Assess, research and document appropriate IFRS accounting treatment for various technical transactions within our business such as content amortization, R&D capitalization, and grant accounting

• Provide support for the annual financial statement audit

• Identify and drive process improvement or other projects

• Act as main liaison between external accounting firm and Podimo

  
  

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of financial accounting experience (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent required)

• Experience in consolidations, including foreign entities

• Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS

• Experience with statutory audit requirements

• Advanced excel skills

• Clear and proactive communicator (Fluent in English, proficient in Danish)

• Big 4 public accounting experience and experience in house at a startup or high growth company
