Alright, so we're another tech company that's looking for another software engineer? Is it even worth reading?

We'd say so, as we're about to embark on an incredible journey building the next big Danish software startup. Founded by a team of early employees in Pleo, we know what it takes to go from zero to traction, as we have taken Pleo to a billion DKK business. This is a unique opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and how to build a company from scratch.

In addition, we are believers that software can feel magical if done right, and we put value craftsmanship over quick hacks. Today software is everywhere, but it's actually surprisingly rare to come across truly great software. Weld is a place where we put our product and customers as the highest priority and as a result our engineering culture is vibrant, fun, exciting and challenging.

The Product

Data warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery are becoming the standard place to centralize all customer data, since they have become affordable and highly performant.

Built on top of modern data warehousing, Weld is a tool for small- and mid-sized companies to become truly data-driven. We provide state-of-the-art data infrastructure that works in a few clicks, without the need of hardcore data engineering. In that way Weld enables powerful analytics and workflows, that can take a company to the next level.

Our first product has been our reverse-ETL product that can easily sync data from a database or data warehouse into SaaS apps such as Hubspot, Intercom or Salesforce, but we plan to quickly expand into multiple parts of the data stack.

We primarily use Typescript both in frontend and backend, as well as Node.js for the backend. Our API is GraphQL based. We host on AWS and you can expect to be contributing and learn about development across all parts of the stack.

The Team

As a close-knit team of 6-7 people, we're all generalists each with our expertise and constantly picking up new challenges. When it comes to code, we're currently looking for students who are eager to learn and who are not afraid of building things end-to-end. We want to find curious minds who can pick up a given problem and solve it. In addition, we'd like entrepreneurial minds join us, who excels in the early stages of a fast-growing company.

We're headquartered in the heart of Copenhagen, but we're remote-friendly.

The Role

You will be part of our engineering team which currently consists of two other senior backend engineers.

You will be primarily focused on extending our data pipelines with more integrations to SaaS applications, solving more use-cases for our customers to become truly data-driven.

Ideally we would desire you to have the following skills:

• 1-2 years or more of programming experience - we don't mind at which stage of your studies you currently are

• Eager to learn and being part of an early stage VC-funded company

• Experience with object-oriented programming and ideally also JavaScript / Typescript

• Driven by getting your work into the hands of our customers, making them successful

• Strive to write simple, maintainable and understandable code
