Nature Preserve is currently seeking a Student Assistant in Business Development. Your primary focus will be developing sales for our ingredients, including identifying and contacting potential customers, and experimenting with new ways to create interest and attract opportunities. This is a paid position with an expected 10-20 hours of work per week.

Nature Preserve is a sustainable food technology startup that re-engineers surplus fruits and vegetables into a range of healthy products. Our mission is to minimize food waste and maximize access to healthy, sustainable products. We’re an ambitious, international and mission-driven company with global growth plans that’s looking to expand our team with a like-minded person.
Over the last 12 months we have been developing the technical side of the business, including a proprietary decentralized food processing unit as well as climate impact analysis algorithms and blockchain based traceability solutions to bring sustainable and transparent ingredients to market. Currently we are a team of four full time members, and are expanding the team as we enter the commercialization stage.
About the Role
Your primary tasks will be:
Identifying potential clients per assigned region/industry
Outbound sales (Emails, Calls, Video Calls, etc.)
Market research for specific ingredients or products
Contributing to go to market strategies for new products as we develop them
You can expect to work 10-20 hours per week. While we are flexible in accommodating the working hours to your studies, we also expect you to provide support in meeting stringent company deadlines if required. Our offices are located in Søborg. While we are flexible in working from home, especially during COVID-19, we also expect you to come to the offices as needed.
About You
We would expect that the successful candidate:
Fluent in written and spoken Danish
Fluent in written and spoken English (this is our company language)
Is currently studying or has recently completed a relevant business-related degree, either at the bachelor or master level
Has some sales related experience – regardless of whether it is in an office or perhaps retail setting
Has excellent communication skills in both speaking and writing
Is strong at building relationships
Is proactive and self-driven
Is structured and detail oriented, with a data driven approach
Is passionate about sustainability
Experience working with Zoho in particular, or CRM software in general, is an advantage but not required. Furthermore, experience in a start up, sustainable food business, or the food industry in general will all be valued positively.
