In short

Defentry is looking for a Head of UX to lead the strategic and operational UX/UI agenda.

As a Head of UX/UI you will,

• Lead UX/UI within Defentry in order to create user friendly and scalable products

• Create a culture of holistic experience design, thinking explicitly about every point of contact that impacts the client experience

• Be a key member of the product team through the whole product development lifecycle

• Be hands-on and operational within your areas of responsibilities meanwhile having a strategic and holistic approach to UX/UI

• Create a design system with pattern libraries and style guides 

• Ensure that relevant processes are in place for usage of the design system in scalable product development and maintenance

• Implement Defentry’s new brand and visual identity as part of executing on the design system

• Deliver user research, product design, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows and interaction design together with the CTO/CPO and product team as well as with customers

• Support in overall service and product design as well as strategic, tactical operational aspects of the product portfolio

• Deliver products for both consumers and corporate users, for own as well as white label partner products

• Spend most of your time working with product development but also to a minor extent be available for design activities related to marketing and sales

• Be the key stakeholder and lead interactions with UX/UI resources in the tech team as well as with external consultants

What it takes

• A degree in UX/UI and/or Design or an equivalent combination of training and experience. 

• Minimum five years of experience in a UX design studio and/or UX/CX corporate environment.

• Experience working with Agile cross-functional teams, to design, deliver and continuously improve scalable and enduring digital products.

• Be senior enough to take a strong leadership in the UX/UI design area

• Have experience from working with international teams and with development resources outside Sweden

• Be a very structured and a good communicator

• Have experience or strong interest in working with data driven products, and a willingness to support in translating the cyber safety/security landscape - by some users perceived as somewhat complicated - into easy-to-use desirable products

• Fluent in English and Swedish with excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• A solid understanding of information architecture principles and practices and experience with mobile and desktop design.

• Ability to understand and communicate customer needs and business strategies.

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

• Although this is initially not a management position, it will be key with excellent people-management skills with the proven ability to motivate others and foster teamwork

• The Head of UX/UI will report to the CTO/CPO
