What we are looking for

We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Head of Marketing. If you live and breathe marketing, we need to talk. 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Hands-on experience and solid knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends);

  • The ability to turn creative ideas into effective marketing projects, that engage, educate and motivate;

  • Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn;

  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences;

  • Experience in setting up and optimising Google Adwords campaigns;

  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets;

  • A love for great copy, witty communication and top-notch aesthetics; 

  • Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement;

  • BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field and at least 3 years experience;

  • An excellent grasp of English. Finnish is an asset but not mandatory.

 Ultimately, your role will be supporting us in building and maintaining a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.


What you will be doing

You will be using your expertise and knowledge of modern marketing techniques to accelerate the growth of our brand. You will do this by:

  • Developing strategies and tactics to get the word out about our company and drive qualified traffic to our front door;

  • Owning and implementing successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution;

  • Experimenting with a variety of acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting and performance analysis;

  • Producing valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups;

  • Building strategic relationships and partnering with key industry players, agencies, vendors and media;

  • Overseeing and approving marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies;

  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns;

  • Gleaning data-driven insights from marketing campaigns and using this to improve performance against company goals;

  • Analysing consumer behaviour and adjusting email and advertising campaigns accordingly.

Interview process

  • We would like to fill this position ASAP.

  • Application period is from 23.02.2021 - 17.03.2021.

  • The first step is a 30 minute phone interview from 01.03.2021 - 24.03.2021.

  • The second step is a marketing assignment: 01.03.2021 - 31.03.2021.

  • The final step is a 60 minute interview with the COO and CEO of The Shortcut: 08.03.2021 - 07.04.2021.
