Have you ever thought about why we live in cities where we live in one place, go to work in another place, go to school in a third place, do our shopping in a fourth place and spend our spare time in a fifth place?

This is something the pandemic has put a halt to, and at Vakansa we try to make the city post-corona more sustainable by making better use of existing buildings and premises.

We know that the most sustainable building is the one that never has to be built, therefore our vision is to - Promote a sustainable urban development where premises are used by more organisations than one and therefore remove the need to add any new sqm in cities.

Vakansa helps existing & new tentants to co-use premises. Nationally we resemble AirBnB & GuestIt through our marketplace with services such as insurance, setting up contracts & facility management. Locally like WeWork by manageing our local hubs.

We already have collaborations with major real estate companies, NGO's, Associations and other organisations.

In order to expand and scale, we are looking for a full-stack developet that could take on the role of CTO in the near future! We already have a platform and are looking for someone that could continue the development of the platform. Please note that this is initially an unpaid role, meaning motivation is the decisive factor for us. If we vibe and work well together, we’re interested in retaining you long term, meaning you’ll be getting a slice of equity in the company.

Technology

The platform is today built in the MERN-stack(mongoDB, Express, React och Node). We have a technical due diligance done.

In addition, we are utilizing modern frameworks for document editing, state management and evaluation of logic rules.

Position description

Joining Vakansa, you will take lead on building our technology providing advance contract functionality to our customers, enhancing our platform and take part in inventing new ways to digitilize co-use of premises and facilities and integrate other services into our platform in order to make it friction free to book and administre the co-usage.

The position is in Uppsala/Stockholm, Sweden, but with the pandemic we are all working remotely.

We believe that you are solution-driven and offer full flexibility for a person who gets things done. Apart from being technically skilled, we believe that you are also business oriented as you will take part in building the company from the core and up.

Responsibilities

• As the core team is currently small, you will initially mostly engage in core development of the platform

  
  

• Lead and oversee all technology of the company, including the full stack application providing services to our customers and the deployment to AWS

  
  

• Lead and grow the team from a small and passionate one to a large, solid team creating world class applications
