The job

For our young and passionate team, we are looking for several category managers/project managers who will be an integral part of a fast-growing scale-up, making sure we can provide high quality ingredients and sustainable packaging for our customers across the Nordics.

We seek candidates that will bring an analytical, structured and proactive way of working, focused on delivering results in a high-paced environment. Our ideal applicant has experience in purchasing and/or product development in the food industry but is hungry to take on a challenge and make an impact at a fun, fast-growing, mission-driven meal kit delivery service business.

On a day to day basis you will be handling and building our supplier network while engaging closely with our culinary department to build the best meal kit in the market. You will also have access to our international procurement team who can support you with deep category knowledge.

You will be based out of our Nordic head office in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen with ~40 colleagues and report to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise our supplier network for 2-3 of our food and packaging categories

  • Independently plan and lead category strategy, cost savings, product development and value engineering initiatives

  • Develop new supplier relationships, from identifying potential suppliers through to negotiating new agreements

  • Identify and implement commercial opportunities through a data-driven approach

  • Identify and implement initiatives to optimise procurement processes

  • Support Buyer(s) in managing the weekly supply of our ingredients to ensure our customers receive high-quality ingredients in time

  • Solve problems on-the-go in a fast-paced environment

Who we are looking for

  • University graduate in Business/Management, Economics or related fields with excellent grades

  • ~1.5-4 years of professional experience in a high performance culture environment, ideally with experience from/exposure to procurement of food products

  • A strong analytical and commercial mindset - strong command of Excel/GSheets is a must

  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of ‘getting things done’ - a structured and detail oriented approach to work

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities while adhering to time-sensitive deadlines

  • Professional proficiency in Swedish, Danish and/or Norwegian is a big plus

  • Knowledge and passion for food
