Octarines mission is to solve our greatest health challenges by enabling innovative cannabinoid and psychedelic therapeutics. We're perfecting a biological approach to producing improved & novel cannabinoid and psychedelic molecules with tailored modes-of-action. Our proprietary technology combines synthetic biology, yeast fermentation and enzymatic derivatization to develop IP protected drug candidates that are validated in pre-clinical screening.

We currently have a TEMPORARY position available for a chemist to join our team. We're looking for a "jack-of-all-trades" type who can cover a wide-range of chemistry disiplines and skills. In the role you will work with Octarine's research scientists to develop analytical methods to detect novel cannabinoid and psychedelic molecules, maintain Octarine's analytical equipment, and develop and implement strategies to purify and process novel molecules produced by our enzyme platforms.

Ideally you will have experience in the following areas

• Running and maintaining chromatrography equipment particularly for UHPLC

• Analytical method development to detect and quantify molecules in complex solutions

• Purification and down-stream processing of target molecules from complex solutions

Candidates should have an MSc or PhD in a chemistry related field and hands-on experience with the areas listed above. While the position is temporary there is the possibility of prolongment.
