Position summary

Following our global expansion, we are seeking a talented Lead Architect to join our growing team.

You will:

• Work cross-functionally across teams and geographies implementing the best cutting edge technology solutions.

• Deliver high quality, highly performant, and well-structured code.

• Drive the architecture and implementation of workflows and services whilst also supporting feature delivery.

• Be a role model with S.O.L.I.D. coding skills, an innovative mindset, and the ability to inspire those around you.

• Be an advocate for good architecture and technology, with a plan to achieve future flexibility and growth.

• Be the point of reference for software and application design decisions; act as an advisor and mentor to others, challenging teams to improve.

• Continually scan the technology horizon, sponsoring and promoting innovation with novel approaches to software design and development.

• Be accountable for architecture across all of the Gelato platforms and applications.

You will be working closely with the Product Owners, Team Leads, Security, the QA Team, and SREs. You will be reporting to the CTO and be a part of the Tech Leadership team.

The position is based in Stockholm and we are currently only in the position of accepting applications from candidates that already have the right to work in the EU.

Moreover, we would like to see evidence of the following in your profile:

• A minimum of B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Maths, or a similar field.

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Developer/Senior Developer in web applications with SOA.

• 3+ years as an application or systems architect.

• Data modelling and design expertise.

• Extensive experience and knowledge of development processes and technologies.

• Knowledge and practice within a micro-services based platform or application.

• Have mastered test automation and worked in the continuous integration environment.

• Understands application security and scalability aspects.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
