Job Description  

We are looking for a Software Engineer / Technical Strategy lead to join our fast-growing start-up, as we are scaling our software at every level: security, integrability, and complexity. You have at least 3 years of recent experience as a full-stack developer, have worked with the entire cycle of software development, and have previous experience integrating software with bigger platforms (e.g. Microsoft). You are enthusiastic about using your skills to make a societal change.

 

Your responsibilities  

  • Maintain and further develop our Python-based backend 

  • Evaluate and implement new systems and infrastructure. Among other things, improve and expand our software architecture (integration with our Machine Learning core, improving deployment cycles, etc.)  

  • Define technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals and stakeholder feedback 

  • Ensure technologies are used efficiently and securely  

  • Work with the tech department to ensure a smooth-running product development  

 

Your profile

You have:  

  • 3 years of experience with Python programming and as a full-stack developer  

  • Great experience developing software in a start-up or scale-up company

  • An overview and clear understanding of software development processes that allow you to contextualize your ideas 

  • Previous experience with software- and server architecture, security measures, deployment pipelines, and Git  

  • Prior experience with hosting software applications with a cloud provider (e.g. Microsoft Azure)  

  • Prior experience integrating/migrating software applications into platforms like Google Chrome and Microsoft 365

  • Are up-to-date on recent technologies and you enjoy innovation.  

  • Have experience and enjoy building a technical strategy to achieve company goals.  

  • Take ownership of your projects, like to support others to take ownership of their projects, and always take a constructive approach towards problems  

  • Are proficient in written and spoken English, detail-oriented, structured, and well-organized.
