We've actually gotten pretty far without you. We've launched our MVP, onboarded the first customers, and even taken on our first enterprise customer. But now things are getting serious. Before we take things to the next level, it's probably best that you are on board. You'll be responsible for all things tech in our company. This means that you build the team, decide the stack, and define the processes. We're ready when you are.
We're looking for the right match to be our fearless leader, guiding mother, dreaming visionary, and experimenting professor... when it comes to all things tech and nerdy.
We (team of nine) spent six months building our MVP, and we just launched in private beta. We've selected a small group of users: a small, newly-built village in Denmark, and our app will support them in creating community. We'll use the data to adjust our app, but also to show investors when we fundraise in January 2021. We expect to launch to a wider audience in early 2021.
And that's why we need you:
Our current platform has been built by our small in-house team (who are now back on their normal projects) in collaboration with our awesome tech partner in Belarus. It works, but it’s still just an MVP, and the result is rather... monolithic. We need you to shepherd our MVP into a fully scalable, micro-service based, modern solution. This includes defining the tech stack and setting the team
Additionally, you will work directly with me (I'm the CEO) in building our organization. For me, this means assembling the brightest thinkers on what makes communities tick, and a world-class engineering team that can translate their insights into concrete features that support human beings in being active participants (which contributes to living healthy, happy lives).
Most importantly is probably to define and implement all tech-related processes.
We're not in the habit of telling other people who they are, so you can skip this part. Great minds are found in all sorts of places, and let's be honest: if we knew exactly what we needed, we'd go get one off the shelf.
That being said, here's how we see you (we look forward to being surprised):
You have experience as a CTO or similar technical leadership role (preferably a venture-funded start-up)
You’ve built web apps from the ground up, with resourcefulness and flexibility
You have experience in leadership roles managing a team, organizational capabilities including hiring in a fast-growth environment
You have in-depth knowledge of technological trends
You know how to manage budgeting and business planning
You're interested in privacy and security for users, and don't mind getting your brain dirty with compliance and processes, laws, and regulations.
This is a paid position, and we are more than willing to discuss equity. We've self-funded for now but plan to do fundraising as soon as we have the data.
