CEO for Enlightenment – The new crypto access provider

Enlightenment ApS helps crypto brokers and other innovators in the crypto space solve the problem of adequate access to banking and a lack of liquidity. Having worked in the industry, we know first hand that these problems are real, and we utilize state-of-the-art trading algorithms to optimize savings for our clients.

Liquidity in the crypto space is constrained and prices are different from exchange to exchange, especially for large orders. Enlightenment have built a trading algorithm which monitors multiple exchanges and ensures clients get liquidity and the best execution. Securing banking while working with crypto is notoriously hard and difficult for any company. To solve this problem for ourselves and our clients Enlightenment plan to apply for an e-money license, which will enable us to provide banking and account services to our clients on top of trade execution. 

3 years ago, a group of likeminded people came together to solve this problem and create a new infrastructure setup from where professional clients could gain access to fast and reliable trading along with crypto and FIAT accounts, hence Enlightenment was founded. The founding team has worked on a part-time basis up until now, and it is also within this framework, that we are looking for a new CEO.

Standing on the back of the past 3 years of work, we are however now ready to take a new leap, and become a bank ourselves (e-money institute), and for this journey we need a new CEO. Over these 3 years, we have built a successful trading engine, tailored to serve crypto-brokers with broker services and liquidity. Going forward, we aim at providing a full banking experience along with multi-exchange trading capabilities to our company clients, so that we once and for all can solve the banking issue for the crypto industry.

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on CEO who can join our team and help drive growth, partnerships, sales and everything in between. The CEO will lead a team of 4 people, comprised of a COO (Operations, Admin & Legal), CTO (Tech), CRO (Risk & Compliance) and a software developer, making you able to focus on being the face of the company. Your primary area of responsibility will be:

• Working with the board to settle on a new strategy focusing on growth of Enlightenment, this could also include fundraising.

• Driving sales and partnerships, whilst ensuring that awareness of the company is spread throughout the crypto space.

• Speaking at conferences, events and helping educate the broader public about crypto.

• Ensuring customer success and satisfaction whilst constantly weighing development resources in relation to importance of new features.

• Working with the customer facing part of the product, ensuring that we are able to provide a relevant and valuable product to our clients

We offer a position in an exciting startup with fun and flexible hours in central Copenhagen and with a healthy warrant package matching qualifications and work hours. The position is unpaid and can be either part or full time, until such time that we start generating sufficient income. We are an international team, Danish is not required but fluency in English is.
