We are a growing startup and due to strong demand for our software we are looking for a full time Java backend engineer with 3 - 5 years’ experience. Your core focus will be on developing and maintaining our Java backend. You will work from our head office in DTU, Lyngby, together with colleagues abroad, using English.

The global maritime fuel market has a global turnover of +200 Billion USD and is under constant pressure to reduce cost and reduce its environmental footprint, changes which BunkerMetric actively support with our software.
We are a growing startup and due to strong demand for our software we are looking for a full time Java backend engineer with 3 - 5 years’ experience who can help us add innovative features to our products.
Your core focus will be on developing and maintaining our Java backend and its interfaces with data (SQL), daily operations (Python) and front end UI (JSON). You will work from our head office in DTU, Lyngby, together with colleagues abroad in an Agile approach, using English.
We are a small company and you will also be encouraged to support us in other tasks: meeting customers, interacting with suppliers, designing architecture and much else. This will both help us cover all tasks, but also enable you to get a holistic understanding of our products and how we can best deliver value for our customers.
Required Skills
3+ years’ work-experience with Java
Experience with SQL (preferably PostgreSQL), Python, JSON
Good communication skills in English
Danish / EU work permit
Preferred Skills
Education in Computer Science / Engineering
Knowledge and/or interest in the maritime industry
Experience with Agile development methodology and use of GIT, JIRA, and modern software testing and deployment practices
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
