In this role, you will work within our IT Department, which is responsible for everything from the maintenance of the computer networks across all of our business units, providing technical support and ensuring that everything is kept ticking and running smoothly. We are looking for an IT Engineer who loves to monitor and maintain systems, delve into installs and configure both hardware and software. Solving technical problems will be what gets you up in the morning!

What you will do:
Networking
Install, configure, monitor, and maintain all network devices.
Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimise all network software and communication links.
Manage wired and wireless networks.
Validate and verify the proper functioning of the network.
Diagnose and test the network using software/hardware tool suites.
Modify, add/remove policies and VPN management for network firewall.
Perform network modelling and simulation.
Assist in the expansion, modification, integration, and redundancy of the network.
Troubleshooting
Provide first-contact support of incoming requests to the help desk via telephone, web portal, email, and chat to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues.
Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
Maintenance
Install, configure and monitor computer hardware, software, systems, printers, and scanners.
Coordinate IT work with non-IT employees and managers.
Work with other IT teams to effectively resolve company needs.
Follow established change procedures and implement the changes.
Test new technology.
Deploy technology equipment and all requested accounts for new employees.
Monitor and maintain VoIP systems.
Monitor and maintain identity and access management.
Update and maintain documentation.
Essential Criteria:
2+ years experience in a similar IT Engineer based role.
Understanding of networking concepts and technologies (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Wireless, Ethernet)
Flexibility to work across multiple time zones on a shift rotation with some possible on call requirements.
Demonstrable Helpdesk experience.
Proficiency in servicing and troubleshooting Apple hardware and software.
Ability to follow and adhere to defined processes and procedures.
Proven ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast past environment while producing high-quality results within set deadlines.
A technical, logical thought process with an excellent ability to prioritise.
A positive and motivated 'hands-on' attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Desirable Criteria
Experience with remote access technologies.
Passionate about technology.
Ahead of the curve with best practices and able to identify key areas of improvement for the team to follow.
