StepUp Air is building wearables based on breathing, a vital parameter that has been much forgotten but contains so much information. For sportspeople, we can significantly improve training efficiency while minimizing the risk of injury. For healthcare, we help patients live a better life. For horse owners, we deliver insights on horse health and behavior. We're a team of 18 international people.

We are looking for a part-time or full-time intern to join our small team, starting as soon as possible (or later, fine by us too!)
This position is about programming. Even better, it's about programming on a small SoC made by Nordic Semi, based on a Cortex-M4. It doesn't mean you'll be doing only this, if you are interested in discovering other aspects of the company, we'll make it easy for you - learning and acquiring new skills is written in our DNA.
You will have many responsibilities and work directly with the developing and testing the embedded code of the new version of our breathing monitoring device. It comes with Bluetooth, ANT, a few sensors and signal processing. It will enable you to apply and increase your knowledge very quickly and discover the startup life. You'll be working along two engineers with knowledge in the field. Being a sport enthusiast and passionate about technology is a plus!
Your tasks:
Developing an energy-efficient embedded program in embedded C on a Cortex M4 architecture.
Implementing StepUp real-time algorithms for breathing and heart rate calculation
Knowledge and/or experience within the following is a plus:
Embedded C
Nordic Semi SDK
Eclipse
Electronics
