About raffle.ai

At raffle.ai we are creating a universal search tool for businesses based on the latest NLP research that will provide all employees and customers seamless access to company information. Currently, raffle is used in customer service, augmenting the experience for both customers and customer service employees. raffle presents users with the information they are looking for on the website and suggests answers to questions coming into the customer service system. This is completely automated with the power of AI.

Our team is led by Suzanne Lauritzen, who previously founded LogBuy- a company that is now operating in Denmark and the UK, and Ole Winther, who is one of the leading global minds in AI and a professor at DTU Compute and the University of Copenhagen. Product development is headed up by Andrew Dahl, who has previous experience building succesful product and teams at companies, such as Falcon.io and Zendesk.

raffle is venture backed and have prominent experts and business people on the management and board level. We have very high ambitions and work closely together with both DTU and Microsoft to generate state-of-the-art products.

About You

You are passionate, organized and self-driven, with great team working skills and a problem solving attitude. You have a devotion for great software and software craftsmanship. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, and an enthusiasm for keeping yourself up to date on current topics within your field.

The Role

• You will:

  • Build product using frameworks and technologies, such as React, Express, Node.js, as well a vanilla JS and browser APIs

  • Work in close relationship with other competencies to deliver end-to-end products with quick decision and development cycles

  • Focus on having good tooling and ergonomics in our development setup, including reasonable testing

  • Deploy using continuous integration and Docker to our Azure and Google Cloud infrastrucutre

  • Be comfortable with not knowing how to solve a problem and figuring it out with your teammates along the way

  • Work alongside our Data Scientists to build product that utilities state-of-the-art AI and machine learning models

Our stack and tools

We use various tools and languages in our stack that communicate using RESTful APIs. Our frontend components are written as React clients communicating through Express services with a Golang backend. Our backend also interfaces with our AI infrastructure primarily written in Python. PostgreSQL and MongoDB are used for data storage, Parcel.js to build the frontend and Github for version control. We have a strong focus on building a service oriented architecture, containerization with Kubernetes and continuous delivery using CircleCI. As we are in the early stages of developing multiple new products, you will have a chance to help influence and shape the application architecture and stack we use.

Required Competences

• Proven experience with JavaScript, React, Node.js, HTML and CSS

• Experience with test frameworks, version control and continuous delivery using CI

• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms

• Basic understanding of containerization and Docker

• Experience dealing with iframes and the related browser APIs

• Experience building Google Chrome Extensions

• Understanding of Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning within NLP
