As a volunteer teacher at ReDI School, you support women with refugee and immigrant background in acquiring new IT skills, new opportunities and greater independence.

What will you be teaching?

You can choose between teaching basic computer skills at our courses 'Computer for Beginners' and 'Computer for Intermediates', or you can teach specialized IT skills at our courses 'User Experience' or 'Introduction to Coding'.

If you are interested in teaching basic computer skills, you will teach the students how to use a computer, internet, public platforms and Microsoft Office.

  • These courses are taught in Danish.

If you are interested in teaching User Experience or coding, you will teach students how to create a wireframe or a simple project in JavaScript.

  • These courses are taught in English.


What will your role be like?

Together with a group of other volunteers, you plan the classes, make teaching material and teach a team of 8-15 students.


How much time does it take?

Classes run from September 16 to December 6, with teaching once a week for 3 hours. During these 12 weeks, the time usage is approx. 10 hours a month, as you will be teaching about every second week.


Where and when will you be teaching?

Teaching runs from September 16 to December 6, with teaching once a week. Based on your wishes, you will be teaching either Wednesday evening or Sunday afternoon in either Copenhagen or Allerød.

NB! To volunteer as a teacher, you must be able to participate at our onboarding weekend on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th of August from 10-15. Here you will meet the other teachers, prepare for the semester and learn a lot of fun stuff about teaching.

ReDI School of Digital Integration is a tech-school with focus on digital empowerment of women with refugee- and immigrant background. We will offer free courses in IT and soft skills, and create a vibrant tech-community, that will give the women new professional and social opportunities. We strongly believe that successful integration and employment depends 50% on what you know and 50% about who you know, and therefore we will put the women in contact with people from the IT sector.
