Boost Turku is an entrepreneurship society for growth-minded young entrepreneurs. Hosting and being involved into 100+ events annually, and organizing a 10-week accelerator program Startup Journey every summer since 2012. Boost serves as a stomping ground for entrepreneurs from all fields of commerce.

Boost is looking for an Executive Director

Boost Turku is an entrepreneurship society that encourages and supports students and entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into business.

We are now looking for an Executive Director to develop the organisation further.

How to best teach skills that help students achieve their goals? How to raise more entrepreneurs out of the students and researchers in Turku? How to bring out more successful startups in Turku? How to best utilise our networks? These are the types of questions we want you to be passionate about and eager to solve.

 Your main tasks will include: 

• Strategic planning & developing the organisation together with the Board

• Operational planning and leading implementation of the annual plan

• Leading the Boost team of 2–5 employees and interns

• Network management and collaboration with our stakeholders

• Fundraising and financial management

• Managing the administrative work of the association

• Representing the organisation

• Planning and organising Startup Journey together with Event and Marketing Manager

What we expect from you:

• Demonstrated interest and understanding of business drivers and challenges of companies taking their first steps

• Creative and future-oriented mindset and ability to take independent decisions

• Excellent networking skills and ability to build fruitful cooperation

• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and inspire a team, and manage complex projects

• Good performing skills, ability to inspire and assure

• Good interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment

Successful applicants have professional working proficiency in English. Finnish, Swedish, and other language skills and experience in working in associations are considered as a benefit. We also expect willingness and ability to occasionally travel abroad. The salary for this position is EUR 3 500 / month.
