We are searching for a young enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our quest for perfection!

We are a deep-tech company, focused on developing Lidar solutions for our customers. We have our own software library and use off-the-shelf Lidars for our current needs.

In the future, we will also build our own light weight, low-cost and low-power Lidar hardware. Our target is to have the prototype ready by mid-2021 and be in full production by 2023.

The mission of LuxC is to “bring Lidar to the masses” by making it cheaper and easier for our customers to deploy Lidar in their applications. This makes much of our work cutting edge R&D, focused on developing new technologies for until now, unexplored application fields.

The LuxC team is a young and enthusiastic team that loves technology. We are now looking to extend this team with another young and enthusiastic person, who can help us to improve our electrical engineering capabilities.

As we work open in an international cross disciplinary team, it is important that the our new team mate has good communication skills and likes working in an international environment. The working language at LuxC is English.

We are looking for a person with good skills in Electronics design to join our team as she/he will participate in the whole chain from architecture and design of the electronics until assembly and testing of the PCB and circuits. To do this, you are required to have knowledge of CAD tools for electronic design and simulations, testing methods and equipment and it would be helpful if you have come across lasers and detectors in the past.

You must also like developing new cutting-edge technology and be willing to learn and discover new stuff. Since we are a start-up, you should clearly also be a self-starter and quite stress tolerant.

Tasks

·        Participate in system architecture, design and selection of components for the system

·        Build a component library in one of the CAD software

·        Build and simulate schematics in CAD software

·        Design PCB, including layout, component selection, tracks, Vias, Rule check and Gerber generation

·        Solder, assemble and test some part of the designed PCB and circuits

·        Assemble the Lidar and participate in the testing and improvement

Qualifications

·        Good knowledge of Analogue and Digital circuits

·        Good knowledge of Circuit architecture Design, including electronic CAD design and circuit simulations (Altium, KiCAD)

·        Experience of PCB assembly and testing and experience of  working in a lab

·        Basic knowledge of high-speed circuits and signal processing

·        Basic knowledge of EMI and attenuation

·        Basic knowledge of doing embedded software programming

·        Should have come in contact with optics, lasers, detectors and basic test equipment

Time

This is a part-time position that will follow the development of the LuxC product. Starting date is ASAP. Hours per week can be negotiated.
