In our quest to deliver full automation to digital marketing teams and agencies, Tidy Technologies is looking for a frontend developer to work on CMS migration projects.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Your responsibility would be to do the impossible, which is to develop and enhance website migration scripts that automatically parse a website’s HTML structure from a source site, gets the content and the layout and converts it to whatever format the receiving CMS wants. The key thing is that the new site should look and work like the original even though the new CMS doesn’t have all the features of the original CMS. 

It’s like showing a square peg into a round hole and you have to round the peg on the fly, while still maintaining the look of a square peg. Good luck with that! :)

It’s not easy, but it’s doable and we’ve already done it for 10 000 sites on 7 different platforms. 

To be able to pull it off, you need to be a front-end expert with an eye for details, possess an ability to construct and decipher complex logical rule chains and have an extensive HTML, CSS and JavaScript expertise.

Experience with site builders and/or migrating websites is a huge plus.

We are looking for a person that is not put back by continuously polishing the migrations scripts for websites where the original website designer has broken all the HTML standards in the weirdest, most illogical ways.

Of course, being a startup everyone gets to do everything at some point, so if you have some other talents, we'll certainly put them all to use.

And as we have an international team, you need to be able to write/speak decent English.

Close enough to spend one day a week at the Turku office. We don’t care where you work as long as you deliver, but some things are more efficient when everyone is in the same room.
