Do you want to combine programming and sustainability? We are a startup who have developed an online learning and analytics platform with simple and short learning modules introducing topics within the field of sustainability, designed to be shared and completed by an entire organisation. Our aim is to create positive impact through inclusion and education of the many rather than the few - we think that sustainability is achieved together!

This role offers the opportunity to explore and apply best practices as well as preferred technologies and libraries. You will work together with the developer team leader in a variety of tasks, mainly focused on developing user interface components.

The coronavirus is of course affecting our startup this spring. You will therefore therefore be working closely together with our team online on platforms such as Slack and Skype. Your location, being in Denmark or elsewhere does therefore not matter. We promise to do everything in our power to make it a fun and enlightening experience, with daily standup meetings, social calls, continuous communication and a well planned introduction week. 

We have launched our first online learning package for corporations and have run a pilot project with a client. You will therefore be joining us at a very interesting phase - where we are updating our product, strategizing and getting ready for the customers.

Your responsibilities and tasks: 

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js

• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

About you

You are a dedicated and motivated person with communication skills in English. You have a thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles, as well as familiarity with RESTful APIs and code versioning tools (Git). You like working in a fast-paced environment and you are not afraid to voice your opinion or question the status quo. You are able to work independently and enjoy an environment that trusts your skills and expertise - at the same time you value to be part of a team where we help each other when needed. In addition, you are not afraid to be the owner of a project, take the lead and be the main expert within your field of expertise.

The position is an unpaid internship, ideally 3-5 days per week. We are flexible to meet your schedule both in relation to the starting and finishing date, and a number of days a week. We do interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when we meet the right person.
