We are a VC and angel backed startup based in the Ormeau Baths, Belfast. We build software for scientists who develop drugs to treat some of the world’s most prominent illnesses including cancer and neuro-degenerative disease.

The role

You’ll be involved in the direction, implementation and maintenance of the product by interpreting scientist feedback and creating solutions which will ultimately have a global impact.

Being a startup, you’ll be a crucial key-hire for our team. We’ll need your innovative approach to problem solving, insight on previous projects which have led to new possibilities and your suggestions on how we can build an even stronger product for our customers.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak this role is currently remote but will be based in Belfast upon circumstances changing.

Essential requirements

• Strong understanding of PHP and Laravel.

• Experience with ES6/7 and React JS.

• Experience with frontend testing libraries.

• Experience with mySQL, data modeling, migrations and optimisation.

• Experience building RESTful APIs.

• Experience applying best practices to code, security, testing, scalability and performance.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while making effective decisions, sometimes within tight time constraints.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS (EC2, Redis, RDS).

• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).

• Experience with continuous integration (Circle CI, Laravel Forge).
