Solar4Schools (Mbegu Solar AB) is a startup based in Lund (Medicon Village) that develops a technology platform enabling customers in developing countries to self-finance solar products. Our team is planning to automate the solar system for 20 partner schools in Kenya with an innovative mobile payment approach. For this, we are looking for an intern (current student or graduated) with a background in computer science who wants to expand her/his knowledge in frontend and backend development.

Currently, our team is planning to automate the solar system for 20 partner schools in Kenya with an innovative mobile payment approach. For this, we are looking for an intern (current student or graduated) with a background in computer science who wants to expand her/his knowledge in frontend and backend development.
Working with our product development team across Kenya and Sweden, you will be taking care of the software development aspects of our solar mobile charging station. You must be good with database set-up and management, web application, server set-up, and preferably have knowledge with payment security.
The internship starts from March/April 2020 (3 months, with possibility to extend).
This is a hands-on role, with part of your tasks inc:
Payment gateway integration
Automation with sensor
Database set up and scale-up
Project coordination with hardware team
Testing with Kenyan ground team
You will have the choice to choose your working hours (we practice flexitime working schedule), while we work hand-in-hand with you under an agile development framework.
Eligibility:
For students, must be in your final year of bachelor study or above (e.g. masters)
For graduates / professionals, no special requirements
