Compensate's purpose is to prevent climate change and reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. We're on the lookout for a mobile app developer to help us build an app that will create opportunities for offsetting the carbon emissions of our everyday lives.

Seeking an App Developer

We're looking for a mobile app developer with dazzling programming skills, and an inclination to think about the big picture. The plan is to create an iOS & Android app to help you, me, and everyone fight climate change. The ambition level for the app is high: we're talking global reach, i.e. tens of millions of users. We aim to deliver sublime, world-class quality.

These are the requirements for your role: 

• Rock-solid experience in developing (= programming) modern mobile apps

• As full-stack as possible: even if some technical sub-element would initially be unfamiliar, you can figure it out

• Knowledge & deep understanding of modern tech solutions (you're the one to choose the best ones for this case, after all)

• Skills in UX work is a plus - but it's not a showstopper, if you only do programming art

• Comfortability to wear many a hat, as initially, the app team size is around 2 people

• Proficiency in English communication; Finnish is not a must
