LuxC [look-see] wants to bring "Lidar technology to the masses" by building Lidar based tailored solutions for our customers needs. Lidar is a laser based 3D mapping technology. We are developing our own low-cost Lidar hardware & software for so-called sparse environments, where there are little or no people around. This is an environment that is perfectly suited for machine vision and AI based decisions.

LuxC is a young startup located at the FutureBox startup incubator of the DTU Sciencepark in Lyngby, Denmark.

We are working towards merging Lidar with AI and IoT. This means that the team has a strong hardware, software, machine learning and automation background and we are searching for a person with matching (senior) capabilities.

Our existing team consist of young entrepreneurial and enthusiastic people, who have a good domain knowledge. We work Agile, meaning that we have strong team communication, with morning standup meetings and regular sprint meetings. This allows the team to help each other and to benefit from the knowledge of the whole team. It also makes it fun to work in our team.

We are looking for a co-founder with strong background in backend software development, including automation, machine learning (AI) and low level hardware programing to join our young and enthusiastic team. As co-founder, you are expected to lead the technical development, coach and lead the software team, set up the company vision and roadmap, communication with customers + investor and drive the sales efforts.

You should be a self-starter and want to work with a new and exciting technology in a fun and open team. Clearly, you must also have affinity for hardware as LuxC supplies a complete solution to our customers.

As Software Leader you will:

• Build Lidar software solutions using Point Cloud Library

• Design the architecture of LuxC Software

• Lead embedded software development

• Setup the technical roadmap for LuxC software

• Coach and lead the software team

• Be responsible for software project planning and execution (We use the Atlassian package: Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket)

As Co-founder you will:

• Help secure funding from investors, government agencies and EU

• Pitch to customers and investors

• Participate in recruitment of new team members

• Support the CEO in reporting to Board of Directors and other key stakeholders

You are expected to:

• Be stress tolerant and have a "startup mindset"

• Have extensive background in software development (10 to 15 years’ experience, some part of which may be PhD work)

• Must speak a Scandinavian Language (Danish/Swedish/Norwegian) fluently and have an excellent knowledge of English (Working language at LuxC is English)

• Have spent some time abroad to gather experience and network

• Have strong expertise in software development

• Must know C, C++, Python

• Must know point clouds and especially PCL

• Have deep knowledge of embedded software

• Know machine learning and AI technology and it's implementaiton in automation environments

• Have knowledge of software architecture

• Have knowledge of software testing

• Basic knowledge of machine vision

Time

This is a full-time position that will follow the development of the LuxC product. Starting date is ASAP.

Renumeration & Location

LuxC is located at FutureBox in Lyngby, Denmark. The candidate is expected to work on site to have the best interaction with the full team. The role involves Sweat Equity and we have already secured first investment, meaning that we have a pre-money valuation.
