Travel Kollekt is an on-demand publishing tool that is bringing the paper and books back to the travel experience. This new way of thinking led us to be mentioned as "The Best Innovation Since Lonely Planet" by Business Punk. Just as we help travelers around the world to be the author of their journeys, we also want tourism-related businesses to have the opportunity to engage their customers with quality books and a more responsible mindset toward tourism. And this is where you come in.
We are looking for a part-time or freelance Sales & Partnerships Director who can help us expand our presence in Europe. Since we are start-up, there is no basic salary, but the role is commission based: you will get a percentage out of your sales/ partnerships and as we grow and the chemistry is right the option for equity is also on the table.
Main responsibilities:
Create business opportunities. Research and identify brands, events, institutions, professional tour guides, and other businesses where bespoke travel publishing would be a match with our offer.
Build and maintain relationships with them - follow up, emails, calls, meetings, …
Be innovative. Create different approaches to reach business and close partnerships.
Make sales pitches.
Gather feedback and help craft a better product.
Influence and help us drive the company’s business development strategy.
About you:
Previous experience in sales from either educational or professional background. It will be a plus if you have more than 2 years of experience in sales.
OR perhaps you are a Senior Executive, highly experienced looking to engage their time and expertise in a company that could benefit from your insights and network.
An interest in travel, sustainability
Curious, organized and detail oriented.
Team player! Here we love to share and we are always open to discussing new visions.
Ability to work independently. We are always around, but you have to be able to organize your own schedule.
Knowledge about the French or German Market is a big asset.
Fluent in English (both verbal and written) is a must, while French, German, Danish would be a plus.
