Sindroms is a start-up agency creating monochromatic experiences, mainly through a design magazine of monochrome states of mind, published in print biannually. Curating its content based on a specific colour each issue, Sindroms investigates it across design and culture, immersing its readers in each colour. Besides the magazine, sold in over 27 countries worldwide, Sindroms also offers creative services with colour as a focus, such as monochrome dinners, immersive experiences or products.
What we need:
We are looking for a part-time or freelance Sales Associate who can help us expand our stockist presence in our wholesale markets (Denmark, Italy, Spain, Portugal, China, Japan) as well as drive our advertising sales for our biannual magazine. As the company is a start-up, there is no basic salary, but the role is commission based: you will get a percentage out of your wholesale and advertising sales.
Main responsibilities:
Research, find and approach stockists to secure magazine sales, such as magazine stores, bookstores, design stores, concept stores, design & art museums, etc.
Build and maintain relations with stockists in wholesale markets
Research, find and approach potential advertising brands that fit the Sindroms universe (fashion, design, etc), to pitch Sindroms and sell advertising within the magazine
About you:
Previous experience in marketing, communication or sales from either educational or professional background
An interest in design, fashion and art
Knowledge about independent publishing or magazines is a plus
Organised, ambitious and detail oriented
Ability to work independently
Fluent in English (both verbal and written) is a must, while Danish, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin or Japanese would be a plus
