We are looking for a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) who is passionate about sales, marketing, business development, entrepreneurship, tech, and music and wants to join an early-stage music-tech startup on a mission to revolutionize the music licensing industry.
Our CCO will play a key role in the expansion of Soundtracktor by driving the company’s overall commercial strategy while also thriving in more operational tasks. As part of the management team, they will work closely with our CEO and later our CXOs to set the company’s direction.
The CCO’s refinement of our commercial strategy will help us bring the venture to the next level. While running our sales and marketing activities, we expect the CCO to have a growth hacking mindset, operate on a tight budget, include interns and students in the process, and take on sales and support-related tasks when needed.
This role will be responsible for driving demand and growth of our product, defining the go-to-market strategy, building the customer base, bringing in revenue, driving customer engagement and retention, creating strong commercial partnerships, developing our brand strategy, marketing communications, and most importantly, making the company profitable.

The CCO will also be responsible for growing a digital product; therefore, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge of and/or experience and skills in the following:
User acquisition, lead generation, and retention/engagement
Communication
Product marketing and positioning
Price modeling for digital products
Onboarding, together with the CEO, music composers, and marketing agencies
Leading, building, and implementing go-to-market strategies
Understanding how to tie the product, sales, and marketing together
Running all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM and growth hacking activities
Interpreting data and turning insights into action
A person with whom they would enjoy having coffee

Soundtracktor has just raised its first pre-seed funding round, and has approximately a 12-15 month runway. That means the initial focus will center around proof of concept, sales, onboarding customers and meeting the KPIs necessary for further funding. That will also be reflected in the salary and equity package offering.
