Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and build applications for the Android platform
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Integration of user-facing elements developed with server-side logic
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Skills

• 3+ years of experience building android mobile and/or web products including submitting previously approved products in the android market
• expertise in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from Concept and Design to Testing
• understand what apps can do and what can happen if they become life integrated tools
• hands-on experience from Agile/Scrum development process and code reviews
• strong understanding and experience with the core principles of software craftsmanship
• experience in transforming business requirements into flexible, robust software architecture
• strong knowledge of Android SDK (Software Development Kit) on different screen sizes, (different mobile and tablet sizes)
• strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
• knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• knack for benchmarking and optimization
